Description : Very interesting design and a fabulous look. The earrings are composed largely of a pair of large, amethyst beads. They are held and supported on gold bars, the bottom one connected via loops that allow it to swing and sway as the wearer moves. The color of the amethysts is a fabulous deep purple with a high transluscency. It is especially striking against the gold background.

Earrings have very interesting backs: they are screwbacks, very well made. In addition, to facilitate easy of putting them on, the backs are hinged, so that they open wide before putting them on. Great quality workmanship and great quality gems. Fabulous look.

Marks: Patent number is engraved on the backs. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity.
